I am more than half way through my year as President of The Rotary Club of La Jolla. It has been a fun and rewarding job. We have taken on many projects and functions during my tenure. We’ve had parties and picnics for the seniors at The League House in La Jolla. We built several homes for extremely needy families in Tijuana. We have granted scholarships to local high school students as well as to students at Garfield High School in downtown San Diego. We’ve provided funds to impoverished communities in India to improve sanitation. We have provided a shelter box to the flood victims in Malawi. We have provided substantial funds to the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico. Soon, we will be replanting the hanging plants around the village of La Jolla. All of these and many more!
