As a Board of Director of The La Jolla Rotary, and on the Senior Citizen sub-committee, I am lucky enough to help choose Rotary’s annual events to support. Again, this year we will be supporting the La Jolla Social Services League House by holding a League House Holiday Party. On December 10th all members of the League House are invited to attend our fun filled event! It truly is a fun evening with food, drinks, raffle for prizes, and a sing-a-long with Holiday songs.
I believe it is important as the President of San Diego Homecare to be an active member in our community. I will be updating our blog with more information about the ways San Diego Homecare interacts with our community and including information on other organizations that support the elderly in San Diego County. As a member of the Encinitas City Council’s Senior Citizen Commission I also am made aware of many programs and organizations that support our seniors county wide. As our senior population increases, the need for ways to reach out to those seniors that may otherwise “slip through the cracks” grows in importance. There are many organizations that are out there that families and seniors are simply unaware of. We will also include guest bloggers from some of these organizations so that we can be a source for activities and support to our seniors in San Diego.
